Beads are wheel-shaped. Necklace on right is strung with monofilament, clasp is middle ages or older. Beads are barrel shaped and rough. Encrusted pile of beads in box shows how beads are found -- as simple balls or grains of aggregated sand and dirt from which the bead is painstakingly excavated.
