Three Roman-era Necklaces

The three necklaces here are made of glass beads. Center necklace is strung with original wire but not original clasp. Beads are polished and conical at each end. Multi-braid necklace on left is strung with nylon string, clasp is not original. Beads are wheel-shaped. Necklace on right is strung with monofilament, clasp is middle ages or older. Beads are barrel shaped and rough. Encrusted pile of beads in box shows how beads are found -- as simple balls or grains of aggregated sand and dirt from which the bead is painstakingly excavated. Price: $2,200.00 Lot can be split up.
